How do you get inspired to write?
Various things from places I wish to travel to the things I watch and read. I simply write what I want to read and what I would like to read there is nothing  greater than to write something that you yourself will enjoy. 🙂 😛

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

I can let my creativity run free with no restraints! Best Part Ever! 🙂 Plus while being inspired to create a new world and characters…’imagination process’ is sometimes tedious yet invigorating.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?

I think the greatest part about writing is the new adventures that I can explore when coming up with a plot. I also like the idea of picking apart my main characters & putting them back together again…this is new I found out about myself as I went through the proof copy of my paperback for Entrapment its pretty great when you thinking of making a character dance at the edge of danger or in the same story or a spin off story.

What are you working on next?

Pages Of An Hourglass is expected  to be out Fall 2015. Its a short story of mine that I will turn into a full length novel. For more details you can check Bloggin’ reguarly and subscribe to my mailing list at the bottom of the homepage

What’s the story behind your book Entrapment?

I was intringue about norse mythology and Valhalla and Valkyries it just kind of spiraled from there I wanted super human female teens that deal with everyday problems but more upscale.  I also knew for sure I wanted them to have elements of nature. Then I thought what would happen if they had to save the world without never really understanding anything about themselves or how they relate to the world or their existence. So throughout the series you will see them lose things, but gain something else in return and let’s not forget the romance. 🙂 😛

Where did you get the idea for your book Rhythm of the Garden?

Well many of the poems where things I think about often and ‘Tapestry of Effortless Grace’ I wrote to honor Dr. Maya Angelou. The ‘Blind Knight is the prequel short to a new series I will start at some point called the Amarah Chronicles. and Eclipse of the Deep will be expanded and turned into a three part screen play. Songs: I’ve always loved writing music I was in a group when I was younger with my two cousins and bff at the time that eventually disbanded and the songs were also inspired by two guys I really loved ;-). Encouragements is things I struggled with in the past and overcame and some I still struggled with from time to time. I hope it will help others.
Are you planning to do a book tour, interviews, book signings, or speaking?

What do your fans mean to you?

They actually mean a lot to me more than they probably realize. Knowing that they enjoy my writing and I inspire them to go after their dream in some way makes me happy. If they need advice and I will try to give the best way I know how. One of the many reasons for the ‘Encouragment’ section in my anthology Rhythm of the Garden. The word of wisdoms that I’m sharing was either passed down to me from my grandmother or life itself has taught me. If I cannot help my fans then I will lead them to what/who can.
Who are your favorite authors?

Lol too many where do I start…Maya Angelou,  Alice Walker, Chloe Neill, Y.S. Lee, Lisi Harrison, Courtney Allison Moulton, Kate Brian, Kiera Cass, Alyson Noel, Ally Carter, Francesca Block, Cassandra Clare, Kristin Cashore, Stephenie Meyer, Cecily Von Ziegesar, Melissa De La Cruz, Piper Banks, Jennifer Estep, Tera Lynn Childs, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Gillian McKnight, Jennifer Estep, E.L. James, G.A. Aiken, and these are just a few.

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?

Entrapment of course…lol

What is your writing process?

Plot, main character, chapter outline, heroine/main character(s) profiles, villian, subplots scenery, and back story in that order usually sometime I stray when I stop or get writer’s block or I’m waiting for that euraka moment to take the story to the next level. It comes and goes…lol. I also do my setting map it helps with the scenery as well.

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?

My first books that made me fall in love with reading: Meet Addy & Changes For Addy of the American girl books, The Babysitter Club books by Ann Martin, The Clique series by Lisi Harrison, and The Weetzie Bat books by Francesca Lee Block. These were also the books that had the greatest impact in my life as well.

What do you read for pleasure?

It varies my mood usually decides what I want to sometimes I crave fantasy/myth/paranormal, other times I want to read romance mystery, erotica, and there are times I want a mix of all three.

When did you first start writing?

It started with songs around 5th grade or 6th followed by poems then to stories.

What made you start out as an indie author?

Well that was simple, but it took some time to come up with this decision. I wanted to know all aspects of the writing industry from the publishing process to the marketing process, and let me tell you, I have a new found appreciation for big publishing houses and agents they do alot of the behind the scene work that makes things easier for the author. The struggle as an indie author is real…lol, but I am also glad I did it. I had more control throughout the whole process which I loved. But there is a major trust factor that goes into any route a writer chooses wheather it’s traditional or indie.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Pace your self. Carefully plan.  Do research as needed. Consider the purpose for the literary work you are writing. Understand the reason behind why you are writing. First and foremost enjoy it. Breathe it in exhale it, repeat, and let your imagination & creativity flow. If you get discouraged…You have one writer that believes in you. Have the courage to surpass your own doubts. Determination and Reflection is key. Don’t give up and have fun 😉
How do you deal with writer’s block?
It’s a pain, but when you can create an even better story out of it…that’s awesome. Even when some days are crappy don’t give up just keep going. I’m rooting for you. 🙂
